Choose the profile and purpose
Confirm the child name before pressing the control. Decide whether you need a temporary pause, a change to a recurring schedule, or a decision about one video. Those actions solve different problems. A temporary pause does not require deleting the child or removing the whole library. Explain the immediate plan to the child where appropriate, including what they can do next and when you intend to review the pause.
Save and check the result
Use Pause access in Settings or Pause in the child’s row, then wait for the saving state to finish and read the resulting message. If the portal shows an error, do not treat the button press as a completed change. Check PARE Kids on the intended paired device while it is connected and refreshed. Keep the scope clear: this action should not be described as locking the entire phone, stopping every service, or replacing an appropriate caregiving response.
Resume deliberately
When you decide viewing should resume, return to the same child and use Resume access or Resume. Confirm the result in the portal and on the child device. Existing content decisions and schedules still deserve their own review; resuming a pause is not a promise that every video will be available at every time. If the child’s experience differs from the saved state, note the app, device, connection, and visible message for support without sharing private credentials.
