Agreement and eligibility
By checking the acceptance box and creating a parent account, you agree to this August 30, 2026 version of the Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. PARE records the accepted version and time. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
A parent account holder must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. Child profiles may be created and managed only by a parent or legal guardian who is authorized to make decisions for that child. Creating a child profile also requires the separate Parent Notice and consent.
What PARE provides
PARE provides parent-managed tools for pairing a child device, curating video sources, reviewing requests, setting household controls, and viewing activity records. PARE Media also publishes general educational content about family technology.
PARE supports caregiver judgment; it does not replace supervision. No filter, rating, recommendation, or approval workflow can guarantee that every video or external service will match a family’s needs.
PARE Family subscription and billing
An active PARE Family subscription unlocks the PARE Parent product tools, the authenticated parent web portal, and PARE Kids for child devices paired to that household. PARE Kids is a free companion app and does not offer a child-facing purchase flow. Account sign-in, support, legal information, sign-out, and account deletion remain available without an active subscription.
PARE Family is offered as a monthly plan and an annual plan through Apple. The intended United States prices are $4.99 per month and $39.99 per year. Apple displays and confirms the current price for your storefront before purchase. Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is generally limited to one introductory offer for the subscription group.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account after any free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel in Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; deleting a PARE account does not itself cancel billing with Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s applicable terms and policies.
Accounts and parent responsibilities
- Provide accurate account information and keep credentials, pairing codes, and child PINs secure.
- Create child profiles only for children you are authorized to manage.
- Review content and settings for your own household rather than relying solely on automated signals.
- Notify us promptly about unauthorized access, a lost paired device, or a security concern.
- Use the Services in accordance with applicable law and the rules of connected third-party services.
YouTube and other third-party services
PARE uses YouTube API Services and embedded YouTube playback. YouTube—not PARE—hosts and controls YouTube videos, availability, ads, metadata, and playback rules. Your use of YouTube content through PARE is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Content can change, disappear, or become unavailable without notice. PARE does not claim ownership of third-party videos, channel names, thumbnails, or trademarks. Parents are responsible for deciding what their household may watch.
Legacy parent community reviews
Earlier releases allowed authenticated parent accounts to rate and comment on songs or collections. The current apps and portal do not expose this feature. Existing reviews remain subject to these Terms and were shared under a generic “PARE parent” label. They must not contain names, contact details, links, private family information, or unlawful, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, deceptive, or infringing content.
You keep ownership of your review and give PARE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, format, and moderate it only as needed to operate and improve the legacy community feature. PARE may hide or remove content when reasonably necessary for safety, privacy, moderation, or these Terms. Contact PARE through the support page to request deletion of legacy community content.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use PARE for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, household boundaries, parental controls, rate limits, or security measures.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or introduce malicious code into the Services.
- Use another person’s account or child information without authorization.
- Copy, resell, or commercially exploit PARE’s software, brand, or original editorial content without permission.
Editorial information
PARE Media articles are general educational information, not legal, medical, mental-health, or professional advice. Product features, platform rules, ratings, and availability can change. Check the original provider when a current platform rule or product detail matters to your decision.
Ownership and permission to use PARE
PARE’s software, interface, brand assets, and original editorial work are protected by intellectual-property laws. While these Terms remain in effect, PARE gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your household. These Terms do not transfer ownership of PARE or third-party content to you.
Availability, changes, and termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with third-party requirements, or improve the Services. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access for a material violation of these Terms or a credible safety or security risk.
You may stop using PARE at any time and may request account deletion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limits of liability—will continue to apply.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so those exclusions may not apply to you.
To the extent permitted by law, PARE will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the Services or the parent account email. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
