Distinguish empty from a day with no match
These two cases behave differently. When the entire window list is empty, there are no time-window restrictions. When a schedule contains windows but none apply to the current day, viewing is not allowed on that day. Read the complete list for the selected child rather than looking only at one unchecked day. This distinction matters when changing a school-week arrangement or removing an old weekend period.
Check the bedtime cutoff separately
The web portal displays an enabled bedtime cutoff stored through PARE Parent. That cutoff can still restrict viewing even when the window list is empty. Do not interpret an empty list as proof that every hour is allowed if a cutoff remains active. Manage the cutoff in PARE Parent and review the resulting schedule before saving other changes. If the purpose is simply to pause viewing while you reconsider the routine, use the explicit pause control instead of constructing an ambiguous schedule.
Save and verify the intended result
After making the deliberate change, save the schedule and reopen it to confirm the stored rules. Check the connected child device at a relevant time and read its message. Explain the new arrangement to the child so the technical change does not become a surprise. If the experience does not match the intended rule, note the child profile, timezone, windows, cutoff, and visible result for support. Keep the troubleshooting focused on the schedule rather than deleting the child profile or clearing unrelated approvals.
