Choose a specific reason for a keyword
Identify the title wording you want to filter rather than adding a long category list simply because it is available. Consider whether the same word can appear in a benign context your family would want to review. A broad term may affect more titles than you expected, while a relevant topic may appear without that exact word. Do not describe the filter as a guarantee that a subject can never appear in a video.
Add and inspect the saved list
Open Keyword Blacklist, enter the intended word, and choose Add Keyword. If you use a category’s Add All action, review the included words first. Wait for the result and confirm the list reflects the change. The interface also provides removal controls for individual saved keywords. Keep the changes small enough to understand which rule affected a result, instead of adding many terms and then trying to diagnose an unexpected absence all at once.
Review the outcome with the other controls
If a video is missing or a result seems unexpected, consider the title rule alongside the search filter, channel choices, and individual approval. These are separate parts of the workflow. Test with ordinary content and avoid using a child session to search for distressing examples merely to prove a filter works. If behavior differs from the intended rule, describe the keyword and title involved to support. PARE’s keyword setting is not a universal filter for unrelated apps or a substitute for a parent’s content judgment.
