Prepare the image before opening the uploader

Look at the full photograph, including the background. A useful picture of a model or drawing may also contain a name tag, address label, another child, or a private document. Retake the photo against a plain background when that is simpler than editing. Ask anyone recognizable in the image before including them, and follow the school’s guidance. Do not ask the child to browse a large personal family photo library while screen sharing with a class.

Confirm the destination and account

Open the assignment through the school’s usual route and check that the child is using the intended account. Look at whether the submission goes to the teacher, classmates, or a wider audience. If the app asks for photo access, review the options supported by that device and choose the scope appropriate for the task. Do not assume a completed upload is a completed submission; some systems have a separate turn-in action. Check the visible confirmation without submitting the same work repeatedly.

Keep a usable copy and a small record

Save the project image where the child can find it again, following the household and school’s storage practices. Note that it was submitted, but avoid taking a screenshot that exposes classmates’ names or private feedback. If the upload fails, use the approved support route with a description of the error and a redacted screenshot when appropriate. Do not move the assignment to a public link simply to bypass a temporary problem. The goal is one clear submission with the intended audience, not broad access to the family’s images.
